Story behind your profile pic?
I seem to remember some time ago that we had a thread about the significance of our profile pics or symbols. Several of these (including mine) have changed, and I thought it might be interesting to hear the stories behind what you choose to be the visual representation of you.
A week ago, I volunteered to work with my church in serving various charity organizations in our city. We worked with shelters, Salvation Army, Pregancy Center, etc. Jobs included cleaning, repairing, painting, etc. My job was to make crafted thank you notes for these organizations to use. And I love to do this kind of "work"! So my pic is me and my Big Shot crafting machine, as I was working on making the cards. It catches my love of crafting and of service.
Your turn....Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!
MY BLOG: glorybug.wordpress.com
1. Keep on writing.
2. Get some balance in my life.
3. Lose weight. Hopefully 5# this year. (9.5 pounds right now! Yay, Me!!)
4. Continue to be looking for how God wants to use me this year.

It's due to my 15pound bundle of purring hairball named Spuss that loves to climb all over me when I am working on the computer.

It is the last pic of DH and I before he had his cancer surgery on his mouth. They had to remove his teeth so he likes this picture best because he still has them.

I like to post pictures we've taken of places we've been, whether it be far away or something that I see closer to home. My latest picture was taken just the other day while we were on a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC.

Mine is of my daughter last fall ... she was out mucking about with great granddad( thats his foot in the back ground) in my mom's flower garden and walking in the wooded paths. She had an awsome day and one of the few in focus pictures of her smiling.. *LOL* She normally is moving all over so fast it is hard to catch a clear picture haha.

Mine is a snapshot someone took at school one day. I noticed that they included it in the candids in the yearbook too.

Our 2 american male cocker spaniels, both registered.
Buster is the buff one, going to be 14 this month, June.
Freckles is the spotted one, who was 14 back last October.
Both have those tumors now on them. A common problem for older cockers.
The vet gave Freckles only 6 months back in February.
Dog is still going strong. He said old age would put him down, not the tumor on his bottom lip.
We have had both dogs since they were about 1 yr old.
Both we rescued from households that could not keep them.
When both pass on, then we might consider another dog or two.
In the meanwhile, no. Probably another cocker spaniel.--------My signature--------

Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.

I love these stories. What a great idea for a thread!
I run the shop in a large automotive service department. I often get a funny look when someone asks for the manager and I still have to prove that I know what I'm talking about quite frequently. You would think it would be different in 2011! It doesn't offend me, though - you can't fight how things are!
My avatar mixes my love of the old fashioned "pin-up girl" art with the expectations for someone in my occupation in a fun kind of way.

Mine is a picture of the island where we live, I'll probably keep it after we move away in 2 weeks because where we're moving is not attractive at all!
