    Default Bank of hell irony

Earlier this month BofA deemed it necessary to close our HELOC due to falling home prices. No biggie, we were not planning on using it again.

The ironic part... they have sent no less than 4 applications for a new credit card.

So they want to give unsecured credit vs semi secure credit. Doesn't make a whole lot of business sense.

Yeah, well, when you're too big to fail I imagine you can get away with all kinds of nonsense. Btw I'm going to be using this vastly underutilized smiley when I'm talking about BOA from now on. I think it's fitting.

My credit union gives me 9% on my car loan and 6% on my credit line. The credit line is just like a CC and isn't secured with anything at all.

When I pointed this out to someone a few months ago (trying to get the car rate reduced) he said with a straight face that it all depends on your credit score.

I then pointed out how stupid that was he chuckled and said "yeah, sometimes its like that"
