That's where those pill-minders come in handy. If you open up Sunday's door, and the pill is gone - you already took it

PS Despite being an RN for 30+ years, I can NEVER remember to take any med prescribed for me the right way!

I had to get one of those 7 day pill boxes. I TRIED to take my pills every morning when I made coffee, but I often forgot. I would then think about it later in the day and not be able to remember if I took them or not. NOW I know because as the previous poster stated, when I go to the box and look if there are no pills for that day then I KNOW I have already taken them.

So true! I portion out our pills for the week on Sat night right into the pill minders and we're set to go.

I've done that, taken BP med TWICE. I felt really weird, light headed and sleepy. It was kind of scary. Glad you're okay. I also now use the pill-minder box.

I do the pill reminders also. I would never remember to take meds if not. (which reminds me... I need to take them today)

My BP meds come in one of those packs that has each pill labeled for a day - 30 day supply on a card - easy to see what you've taken and what you've missed. I use on of those 7 day boxes for the vitamins and calcium, as I forget to take those otherwise. I'm lucky in that my pill requirements are pretty basic, but I have a big box, 7 days with up to 4 does a day, for hubby, who takes morning and evening pills, and sometimes other ones, and takes an awful lot of them - only way I can keep his medication schedule straight.

I have to have those pill minders too because I'll forget them, or I'll take them in the morning and not remember and try to take them again.

I'm glad you're okay. The poison control center is great. I've called them so many times... mostly over one kid. Sheesh she'd put anything in her mouth. I called them over some kind of heart condition medicine that someone dropped (later foudn it on the floor but we were afraid the kid had grabbed it). One kid ate a tube of toothpaste and then a couple years later ate a bottle of fish oil capsules. I was taking a vitamin C tablet one day when my toddler demanded to have some. I held it out to her and said "It's nasty, here, smell it." I'm embarrased to say that no sooner had I said that than it was snatched up and swallowed. (Mom of the year. That's me.)
