My sister lives in Dyer, TN. Has all of the above. Very nice town, surrounding towns as well. I get the paper from her every week. I'll trade you the next one for your Turbo Cooker book, if you find it. (I'd send you the paper anyway)

Heaven,
I hope you find just the right spot. I liked Tennessee when we were there. They have colleges, and small towns.
Texas is great too, course I am biased, there are colleges everywhere here.
Talk to MJsLady about San Angelo....I think they have a few colleges within driving distance.
We liked a little town called Brady, smack dab in the middle of this huge state...quiet rural towns surrounding it so you can get away, or live 'in town'.
OUr area is nice, colleges close by, good schools (by Texas standards, not like NE schools at all!) and hot as a skillet! AND a big blue sky.
What more could you want?
PM me if you want specific details....I know it all too, so we will get along great!

Stephenville, Texas has a college in it. It is a bigger town though kind of close to Austin. Wichita Falls, Tx also has a college and it's a smaller town. Texas is always good in my eyes. LOL

How small of a town are you looking for? Do you want to live "in town" or outside the city/town limits?
For example: Clarksville, where I live, has a university. (Austin Peay State Univeristy). The city itself has over 100,000 people. But the surrounding areas are smaller.

I of course would have to say North Carolina...lol. Been here 20 years now and love it. The weather is never too bad. I live in a small town Forest City. We have a good community College, there are also 2 other colleges 20 minutes away. If you wanted a larger state school there are several within an hour drive and many small towns around them.

I really don't want to go back to maine if i don't have to. I want south i think. no snow, no real winter.
I am really looking for small schools, like under 500 students, i think the children get better educations that way.

I live in a small town, we get our share of snow tho..... I understand wanting someplace small.... There are 750 people here and I love it !!!!! The kids go to school in a little town next to us, it has 710 students at the elementary and about 800 at the middle/high school....... I love living in a small town...... Lots of culture in Louisianna.......

I don't think i could live in a big city. the biggest i have lived in was 21,000 people and we lived outside town. i think i am more comfortable in smaller areas. where people still know each other. KWIM.
