Childhood Memories of Summer

Forgot about the honeysuckle. We would stand there and try to drink the drop of nectar. Also, there was a weeping willow that always had inch worms. We would try to find them.

I spent lots of time in our swimming pool, making up various games with my friends. My family also did the two week vacation thing, and we went to so many amazing places. Yellowstone National Park, the Smokey Mountains, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Canada. The best trips were the the ones to the midwest to visit my grandparents. We spent nights in an old travel trailer they had, we roasted marshmallows, shucked corn, made boats to float down the creek (or crick as my grandfather still calls it), and catching fireflies in the evening. Such good times.

Taking a quilt outside when it got dark and laying there either counting the stars or waiting for a ufo to come by...
Getting to stay at my grandparents farm for a week (Mom probably just wanted another one out of the house for a week, there were 10 of us)
After a thundershower running outside and finding all the mud puddles and jumping in them.
