Default Back after a long hiatus...

Hi everyone! I've rediscovered FV today. I was browsing the TMMO forums and saw a post by Greebo..lol. I thought Greebo? Oh yeah! Frugal Village! Perfect timing for me to rediscover this place! I'm getting laid off first part of August and starting nursing school at the end of August. I wouldn't be able to work while in NS anyway, so hopefully the unemployment will let us scrape by until my first semester is over. At that point I should have enough clinical exp from school to get a patient care tech job at the hospital. Two years from now if all goes well I will be an RN! Just have to manage to stay fed and housed until then. Thankfully our insurance is through my husbands job. DS will be going to daycare now which is something we can't afford but there is no alternative. I updated my siggy. We are still in major debt but it's much better than when I first joined! Looking forward to getting to know everyone again!

    welcome back.
I am an RN and can give you some hints.
first, apply for every scholarship in the health professions field.
See if there is a student support services at your school. There may be some kind of daycare assistance available. Get used books. Try Chegg.com too. You just rent the books there. Shipping is included. For every nursing textbook, there is a study guide to it. Get it because it will help you to review what is important in every chapter. Also, get NCLEX study books and/or cds. For example, if you are studing GI, then do the nclex questions pertaining to GI. Hint: instructors get their test questions from the nclex books.
    Good luck!
