UUUHHHHH, would not pay $500 for a handbag. Now if the same bag was $50 I might think about it.

Really do they really think this is new? Yes shopping online is new but looking for cheap deals on clothing has been going on forever. Just my opinion. Yes it is great but I did this when I was a teen.

just because we that tend to be frugal and did something growing up doesnt make it the norm .
obviously a regular paper is not going to be catering its articles to frugal population but rather to average population showing them what is happening .
i just thought it was interesting as the pix that went with it shows two teens girls
i can tell you my 20 yo, when 14 16 etc would have never looked for coupons or wanted to use them to even save on name brands she wanted . she would have spent her earned cash on full price payment . my 14 yo loves to find coupons to stretch her money - its OK now in their eyes.
i personally found it interesting that it no longer is looked at by these girls as a bad thing to look for discounts
i think they are being told there is less discretionary money and are finding ways to stretch it out .
if i took every article i read and said well i did that or this and dismissed it i really wouldnt have any idea of what is happening in the real world and TBH if someone can afford a 500 purse and has no debt - more power to them - .
i think its great they are looking for discounts and teaching their parents who may not know where to how to look for discounts printable coupons online etc*~Debbi~*
