Worldwide financial market free fall yesterday
This is the top of all our news bulletins this morning as well as on the BBC.
Don't know if you heard about this but it was on our evening news - on top of Spain and Italy possibly needing a bailout, Cyprus will not be far behind since things are just as bad there.
Where will this all end?
According to the BBC a lot today will depend on the numbers coming out of the US regarding the new jobs created in July.

This morning's news said that the one of the reasons that the stocks took such a dip was because the job growth did not even cover population growth, let alone make a dent in unemployment numbers. That said, it did better than they expected.

What's that mean? According to the news, it meant that until we see some serious job growth we are going to be having some major struggles.
If you can't even break even on jobs for expanded population, let alone unemployment numbers, well....we've still got a long road here. We also need to take into account that the unemployment numbers mean little if you are counting part time, low paying jobs as a replacement for full time, higher paying positions. Which is a lot of what we are seeing out my way. Men and woman who used to wear suits to work, carry hammers, and field customer service calls have learned a new phrase that they say every single day.
Would you like fries with that?~~~

Yup, it was on the news this morning. They were stating how other countries economies were different. That the US economy is driven by 70% consumerism. Just seems like a really long and bumpy road right now for everyone.

I just wish the markets had faith in our leadership--but I don't !! I'm saving and saving. I'm 70 years old and I've got to look out for myself.

I (sadly) think it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better...
I've shifted back into stockpiling...and we're working on paying down debts pretty steadily, too.

I know! I've been watching the news and apparently JLo is getting a divorce. I'm not surprised that the markets reacted the way they did. I was kind of shaken myself, I really expected those two to make it.

We just got downgraded by S&P. I'm literally sick to my stomach over this.
My country has been hijacked and we are all tools.
