really feeling trapped today - just a vent
I just need to vent.....I am really feeling trapped today. I am the only one working right now. My hubby just had knee replacement surgery - so off work and no income. I am working a full time job, but really hate it. I have been looking for other positions in our area, but havent seen any in my field. We really want to stay here - we just moved - 2 yrs ago because of layoff for me. We are living in a 5th wheel trailer - did a deed in lieu on house - tried to sell - no luck. We had all bills paid off, now we have big doctor bills. I was hoping by next year we could buy a little piece of property and be out of the trailer.....now it looks like it will be 2013 before we can buy anything....if the economy doesnt take jobs away again.....I guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself and kind of scared. Thanks for reading/listening.

Dawn, I feal for you, my DH became disabled and unable to work at all in June 2005, since then I have been the sole provider, a lot of the time it is very frustrating because I don't like my job, when my husband has been shipped from Martins Ferry Ohio to Ohio State University, (Ross Heart Center), I could not get anyone to work for me, I would work 9 1/2 hours then drive 2 1/2 hours to OSU then 2 1/2 hours back, I would get home at around 10 p.m. then would have to be back at work at 5:30 a.m. til 3.
Hang in there, remember it will get better. some days you might not want to get up and go to work, but you will get through it.

Awww! I wish I had the right words to make you feel better. But I will say that even tho it seems like 2013 is way off, it really will be here before you know it! Time is just flying, ya know? And who knows? Maybe something will come along to help you guys push up that date! (keep hoping/praying) In the meantime though, sending hugs and reminding you that we're always here to listen, ok?
take deep breaths,
Theresa

I am so sorry you are having a bad day. Like the OP said, things could turn around before 2013. Try and stay positive and we are always here for you to vent. Sending hugs and saying prayers.

I want to say hats off to both of you for supporting your family in a time of need. I haven't worked in alot of years being a stay at home mom. Now in this economy I cannot find a job because I have no skills (I worked in an office b4 computers) I had a kidney transplant 4-1/2 years ago and now my dh is working 2 full time jobs so my immunosuppressent drugs are covered. His construction business was slow so he got a job working nights and got ins. I am soooooooo glad in the winter he only has to work the one job because the cons job is very slow.
