~I talk to my mom nearly every day and we always tell each other "I love you". It's important to appreciate the time you have the people you care about because you just never know when they won't be there anymore.
I actually had a good cry yesterday because my mom had been taken to the hospital with chest pains. Her brother died last year from heart disease. She checked out fine but it still scared me silly.
I'm sorry for your loss Brenda. ((hug)) ~

My mom is still alive at 79 but due to mental illness I have not really had a mom since my junior year of high school. Funny how the grass is always greener. Would have been easier to mourn the loss if she were not "alive".

I am sorry for your loss and I hope you have a day of cherishing the good memories. :-)

HUGS..I totally understand what you mean.. I've worked as a CNA for over 20yrs and have seen how families are torn apart mentally from such a terrible disease..My mom's death was a shock! I thought she died from a heart attack (she accicidently overdosed) when the coroner called me after my mom's autopsy he said her lungs were black from her 3 to 4 pack addiction a day..My mother would of suffered a terrible death in the end I'm sure of it..I actually was (I feel bad for saying this) relieved to know it was almost a blessing in disguise.

Brenda don't fell bad for your feelings, you are glad she died quickly compared to a long and maybe painfull death.

Wish I could, my mom died when I was 27. My family wasn't into affection. I amke sure my family knows how much I love them all the time.

I had a horrible childhood, my dad died when I was three, at the age of 69 (one day before his 70 b-day) 41 years ago, my mom went to bingo alot, I called her a bingoholic (she went 7 days a week) I could tell you horror stories about my life my mom, I still love her, but it is hard.

I treat my kids like I wanted to be treated by my mom when I was a kid. I am there everytime they call and need me even if it is inconvenient, I have given up my lunch money, gas money, etc to help them out.
