I don't have a Sav-a-lot, and my Aldi's and WM and local grocers are all within a 1/2 mile of each other......basically all on the same corner area. Lucky, I know.

I start my shopping wiht a stop at Dollar tree (if I need anything from there), and then Aldi's (which I have just a handful of faves to get there), and then WM for the bulk of 'on shelf' stuff, and then regular supermarket for meats.

If I stick to only what I want at each store, I don't go far, and I save a bundle!

    Wish we had sav-a-lot, though.

I don't have a save alot around here but Aldi's prices and quality are far better than the store brands in my area.

The cat litter at Aldi's cost less and is as good as any other brand I've purchased.

Aldi's has their unit costs listed per ounce and other places list by other units of measure. You need to calculate the cost sometimes to make sure you are getting the better deal.

You just have to watch the prices. Somethings at Aldi's are decent buys-- sometime Walmart is cheaper, or the grocery store loss leaders or products with doubled coupons. I find Aldi's quality to be good and its only 6 miles from me. I was there today in fact.
