Default Finally Going to the Commissary!

It's been about 3 years since I went to the commissary to shop but looks like I'll be going back next week. Our military id cards need renewing so the whole family will be going. Closest commissary for us is West Point...it's about an hour from us.

I printed out the sale sheets which are good for a month and although the prices aren't quite as low as I remember (there's also a 6% surcharge) some things are downright cheap...especially considering you can use a coupon on top of the low price! And I love how readily available military coupons are in the store. Even with the surcharge and tipping the bagger, I usually save between 30-40%. I think I'll try to stock up on a few things for the pantry. it usually takes me about
3-4 hours at the store...gah! The kids are gonna freak!! hahahah
I'm embarrassed at how excited I am!!!
I'll try to post my saving after the trip. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I wish we had a commissary closer to us. Every now and again, we get a lot sale but that's it.

have fun- I love commissary shopping...but our only other option is German stores I especially love their dent section- sometimes it's just the top of the box of cereal is open, but the bag is completely sealed or a bag of diapers has a rip in it.
