Just got back from a short holiday in Amsterdam, loved it! What a beautiful and charming city, can't wait to go back.

I'l glad that you enjoyed it.
Pity you didn't have a chance to get to Rotterdam - COMPLETELY different to Amsterdam.
We always say that Amsterdam is like a permanent museum. The center of Amsterdam was spared during World War II while the center of Rotterdam was flattened except for a couple of buildings.
So most of the center of Rotterdam is modern with normal streets and stores.*Avril*
