    Default Amish website

    Hi everyone,

I apologize if this was already posted somewhere else. I came across this website about the Amish and their way of life. Some interesting articles about daily life, challenges they face (i.e. economy, population, settlements relocating etc.), lots of pictures too.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

    Amish America this should help.

It does look informative. Thank you for sharing.

I have a lot of admiration for the Amish. They are self sufficient and don't look to the government to give them handouts.

I love reading about the Amish and I have a few favorite recipes that my kids love, one is for Beef Stew and the other is Amish Sloppy Joe I call it amish meat loaf, both very tasty. In belmont County Ohio there is a lot of amish, In the morning you can go and buy bread, etc., I also wait on them at work and see them at Walmart, aldi's.

Thank you for adding the link to the website Ceashels!

I also admire the Amish. They demonstrate that you can live within your means and that you don't need to get every latest and greatest new 'widget' on the market to make your life easier or to make you feel better about yourself.

My little thought for the day . . .
It doesn't matter what your economic or social status is . . . everyone can equally look up at the sky and see the beauty around us.

I hope everyone is in a good place today and can smile.

One vacation we took our kids on years ago, I read books about the Amish when the driving got boring.

One of the principles they live by that I found a great idea, was, JOY.

    J: Jesus
    O: Others
    Y: Yourself
    ______
    Cheryl

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance, but by our disposition." -------Martha Washington
