    Exclamation Frugal Tip...Vacuum Cleaner Bags

I told my mother to remind me to run to Sears to get some more vacuum cleaner bags as we were all out and she said (Depression Era mama) that what she did when she was in a pinch was to cut off the bottom, empty it and reseal it with duct tape. I tried this (as the bags I buy are cloth & not cheap) and cut the duct tape about an inch longer on each end as well as did not fold it over, just put tape on each side and let the sticky sides seal together...works great!!!!

I have done the same and folded the cut side over and added staples instead of tape.
