Default $74 for 9 Packs of Printer Ink!!!!

OMGosh...I can't believe this. Dh & I went to the grocery store & of course, I had to check out the clearance racks. Imagine my surprise when dh scooped up a total of 9 pks of printer ink...7 colored($8 ea) and 2 black ($9 ea)..they were just the right ones for our printer. The packages didn't have the original price on them, but we knew from previous purchases just how expensive printer ink is...so I couldn't say no to this. We get to the checkout & at the bottom of the reciept it stated that we saved 245.23 just on the ink....the original total if it were not on clearance would have been $319.23.....if divided evenly between the 9 pks..they would have been $35.47 each.
lol....now dh won't have an excuse to gripe me out about printing coupons off the internet We have enough to last for years.I am so proud of dh..lol..he's usually the one who shies away from the clearance racks.
The deals don't end there....groceries we found were whole chicken .67 lb (bought 4 chickens)....5# potatoes were marked down to .99 a bag(bought 3)...& also found 9 big bags of dehydrated cinnamon apple chips marked down to $1 each..that will keep the Houseapes happy for awhile.

YAY! I found some printer ink cartridges in the sale bin at WalMart one time. They fit my printer and were $5 each. Regularly they cost anywhere from $29 and up.

Printer ink has an expiration date. Once it hits that date, the printer won't work. However, there's a way around that, at least for some printers. We've picked up outdated ink on eBay for cheap and used it by resetting the battery. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVR2dHebmTI]How to use outdated printer ink.[/ame]

I use two printers for several reasons, one reason being it saves money versus using ink exclusively. I have a laser printer I use mostly for work and printing stuff off the internet. It only prints in gray scale but that's fine for most things. It prints very fast and the toner is a lot cheaper per page than ink. The big reason I originally bought it was for the speed. It would make me crazy to print out hundreds of pages of manuscripts using an inkjet, not to mention the cost. I also have an inkjet color copier/printer I use mostly for personal use. This arrangement has worked well for me for years.
