*crossing fingers* Promotion?

For those who know our story, I think we're about to enter a happier chapter.

For those of you who don't know our backstory... to recap... we have gone from good job, to being told he had another job, to that job being taken away after he gave notice to the good job, to working an okay job, to those hours being cut, times we had NO income, to a crap job, to a great job.

What a wild 4 years its been!

Well, after trying for different promotions within the company and even having the best interview... only to be passed over again and again - OldMan has been digging in and securing his job.

He is now 1 of only 3 people to have a special license (out of 40+ employees) has clawed his way up to a second rung... and he just told me that he's been working on another promotion but he didn't want to get my hopes up.

Tomorrow is THE day. He's been in training for this promotion for 3 months. It comes with a decent (not large) raise.

I am just happy he is holding on to that ladder for dear life... making sure it would be hard as hell to knock him off. Yes, the company can hire more people, train them... but it would be hard for them to get the 2 special licenses and 1 certificate he has.

So................... I'm sitting here waiting for the clock to tick away. He is going to call his fsm in the morning to see if he got it!
