~I think, even thought the poll says "We", the implication is your entire household income.
The poll results will come out just fine with everyone reporting that number.~

I think the results so far are very interesting. They are a lot different than I assumed that they would be.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I refer to myself using the Royal "We" - and I just assume everyone else does the same.

I although I live on $ 7,200 a year do alot better than my neighbors who get more.I pay all my bills, own my house ,and a car.I have no debt and usually $1000 savings in the bank.I get no help or goverment assistance. The neighbors I'm thinking of have no car,lie to get food stamps and other assistance. They are always behind on their bills but they eat like kings and queens,T-Bone steaks ,Shrimp all the stuff I can't afford. They make fun of me because I'm a tightwad but they sure try to borrow money from me which learned my lesson not to since they never pay me or anyone else back. Also you have to keep everything locked up or they will steal you blind.

I voted not doing ok, I do not know this moth if we will be able to pay all our bills. I think we will but it will be very tight. Hubby and grandma can not get on the bus. Grandma is going to have a tight month in September because she bounced about 8 -9 checks in AUG. it is tiring I feel sometimes like I am alone.

Maybe surprised isn't the word for me. What I find interesting, and heartening, is that no matter what the income category, the higher percentage goes to "and we are doing well.".

I think it makes sense, as we are all here, actively pursuing a good life, through frugality. The majority of us can clearly Use it up, wear it out, make do, and go without. It's just interesting to see the results out that way.

I'm not bothered by no married vs. single category, as I see the intent of the poll is to see how a household is functioning, no matter what the income level. I, too, am struck by how many see themselves as doing well. I think that is a tribute to Frugal Village!
