What Is Your Favourite Quote...?

...and how has the quote impacted your life in some way?

My favourite quote that I'm trying to grasp these days is "Less is more". I've had such a hard time over the years purging my stuff. But I know all it is is "stuff". I've also had a hard time getting rid of my daughter's baby toys and clothes because it makes me feel like I'm getting rid of their childhood. (The girls are only 7 and almost 5...I know...I know...

) But this week, thanks to that quote and a SIL encouraging me to do so, I've been getting rid of "stuff" just sitting around, not being used to its fullest advantage and just collecting dust. So far I have 3 bags of "stuff" to sell and have gotten rid of about 3 garbage bags to the Goodwill.

Just food for thought, I guess.

IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME

Those are the 10 most important 2 letter words to me. It does not matter if it is living frugally, losing weight, learning something new, whatever it may be....I cannot just sit around wishing it..hoping it...I have to do my part to make it happen. Even if it requires help from others...it is up to me to get going towards it.

I try really hard to live my life by this but I have been known cut people with my tongue, I am better. Happiness can be applied in avenue of life it is always your choice.

It hasn't impacted my life as much as defined it. At one point in my life, many years ago, I felt as if everyone I knew ran to me for help. I always had someone begging for advice or guidance but no one ever offered any to me. I found this quote and I just love it. I started looking up for of Rainer Maria Rilke's stuff and found I like a lot of it.

Some good quotes here............thanks for posting.

I have many that are my favorites but the one that really stands out for me is:

"When someone shows you who they are.....believe them."
Maya Angelou

The other two that I have applied are:

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about
what matters to us."

AND:

"Forgiveness: Giving up the hope that the past could have
been any different."

I love reading quotes.......and thinking about them.
