    Default Newbie.

    Hello, Im Adelaide and I live in Australia with my husband and 2 children.

    I am a stay at home mum so we do stick to a budget and have minimal debt.

    My goal for the next year is to save as much as I can as I plan to take a solo trip to the UK, I want to save as much as I can towards this and not rely on a credit card/loan.

    Chatting here will put me in the right frame of mind for this. Mygoal is to stick to the philosophy of "not saving $6,000 but to save $1 6,000 ways."

    So thinking before you buy that coffee/magazine/book and putting that money into a jar to save.

    Thanks for the warm welcome, I am enjoying it here.

    To think of it as $1 6000 times, it takes the pressure off the big picture. Makes it so much easier.

    I agree, every penny (or cents here) counts.

    They say by paying just $1 extra into your mortgage you save a bundle in interest.
