Default Well--Alot has happened since my last postings...

First of all my DH finished his college degree with a 3.87 in Electronic Technology- which means he now has the degree for the work he has been doing for 15 years. YAYAYAYAY

Now he has a job. Unfortunately it is out of the area and we will not be moving. His is about 3 hours from home in the Portland area working for a vendor company at the Intel plant in Hillsboro. Making good money and will be making more once he goes to "school" in September in Texas. Double YAYAY!!!

Oldest dd will be a Senior this year and is having a close friend who has been taking photography classes do her Senior Portraits. Yay! Now onto scholarships and financial aide. She has worked the entire summer for the city in the parks department as a Youth Activities Leader. Very proud of her...

Ds1 did poorly in high school as a freshman and is repeating that year---not to his liking... Night school here we come.

Ds2 is doing well and is now in a size 13 shoe at the age of 13. WOW~ He has been spending most of his summer with family and friends keeping busy.

Youngest DD had a pretty bad accident on the 30th of July. She was at a friends house waiting on the porch when for some reason the dog attacked her and she ended up with 85 stitches in her mouth and face. Yes 85!!!! She was torn from incsisor to opposite molar inside the mouth, gash on her nose to the bone, a gash under her chin, and saddly a good size gash at the corner of her lip. She is doing well, almost healed. She was walking dogs about a week later. SHe is one tough cookie... Love her to pieces. The dog was put down voluntarily by the owner--we have a lawyer.

As for me, well my grandmother died a week ago, and found out that my uncle will be coming home to hospice. He has lung cancer that has spread to his muscles and bone. Not good... I have on the other hand been told the next full time position at my job is mine (although this could take years) and that I am officially going to be trained as a back up manager for when the other managers are on vacation and such.

Our next move is to get all our finances under control and get a EF built up. After that we will be doing some home repairs-the house MUST get painted, and the fence MUST be replaced, then after that it is paying off the car, house and getting me a new (used) car as well as my dd...

Hope I haven't bored you all, but I see myself definately coming back to Frugal Village soon and sticking around. I have a lot of learning to still do.. Have a wonderful week everyone!!!!

Goodness! your plate really has been full! I'm sorry about the hard times, but thrilled for you for the good ones. Guess that is life though, and we take it as it comes. hope your dd is healing ok. We went thru a similar incident, but not as severe. The nurse said that the face heals the fastest, and by next day, what she said held true. Hoping the same for your dd.

And no, your post was not boring. Glad you stopped by to say hello, and when you're ready, hope to see you here as a regular again!

    Hang in there!

    Glad to have you back.

3 hours is a long way away. Will he commute or get an apt? I remember in high school my dad had a job 90 minutes away and he drove that every morning for over a year. DH had a similar job a while back, drove an hour each way for nearly 3 years! You'll get through it.

My brother had to repeat a year in HS, too. I think it was good for his personal development, he wasn't mature enough at that point.

Sorry to hear about your uncle, hope his time is as painless as possible. And good luck on your job!
