Not on sale at ours, either.

Trishagirl, what kind of ereader are you looking for? I'd like to learn more about these.

We are writing to you regarding your recent Barnes & Noble order for "HP TouchPad Tablet with 16GB Memory".

Due to unexpected customer demand for this item, our inventory was depleted prior to your order being processed so we are unable to fulfill this item as requested. Consequently, we have canceled your order and you will not be billed for this amount.

Rats, rats, and double rats!!! Ah well, I'm sure another opportunity will come along.
My DH got the same email.

I have the monochrome Nook and really like it. A lot. I didn't think I would like it, but for me, being able to adjust the fonts and sizes is great and really reduces eye strain especially compared to paperback books which seem to have such small fonts.

My husband thinks he wants the color Nook, but we saw them at Walmart and the color one was unreadable under the glare of the lights. I can't imagine they'd be any easier to see in bright sunlight, like sitting around in our recliners at a campground.

I would definitely buy my Nook again, and I would buy it before buying a tablet or any other color device.

I did extensive research on e readers before buying one, and I never read or heard anything negative about either Nooks or Kindles by those who owned them. Everyone seemed to like whatever they had. So either one seems like a safe bet.
