Double walled plastic cup with lid and straw
I picked up a Double walled plastic(BPA free) cup with lid and straw at CVS yesterday. I've been wanting one to take with on car rides and to go shopping for a long time. We buy bottled water and usually take that but recently we got filters for our Brita pitcher. I want to start taking along filtered water and leave the bottled stuff for my boyfriend (he takes 2 bottles to work everyday). Does anyone else have one of these types of cups? Do you like it compared to regular cups or water bottles?
Link to the type of cup I'm talking about.

my younger 3 kids and i each have one in different colors
we drink alot of water now my fridge has the icemaker filtered water in front so the kids are constantly refilling .
these help me prevent spills - make them reuse their own cup and prevent me having to ask who left all these cups out lol
they also fill and take up to bedrooms at night if we wake up thirsty we have cold water
i fill mine with 25% water and 75% ice when i leave for work each AM - i drive and do homecare - even when we were hitting over 100 it stayed cool for at least 4 hours in my car
when we take a drive that will be over an hour the kids fill up before we leave ( as do i )
i love them !! i am watching for them to go on clearance so i can get a few more for when they have friends over and so i can have one for in the house and one for keeping in car*~Debbi~*

I've been interested in these and want to know how well they wash.
How do they wash? Is it easy or hard? How about the straw does wash up?
I played with one at walgreens but the tops was hard to get on and their was some rubbery seal Does the seal even fall out?"Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

I have one, but wish it was bigger. Mine has a rubber seal. I don't think it will fall out, but you do need to wash it well or it will mold. My straw is a very hard plastic and some were broken in the store. I just wash it all in hot soapy water by hand.
I like that the drink will stay cold and not have all the condensation a regular glas will have.
Walmart had these a while back and I wish I had gotten one then. They even sold a pack of straws separately. My mom found this one at Marshalls.

LOVE THEM!!!
We got DD several of these to take to college with her. We had someone put her name and polka-dots in her school colors on them for her. We also got her the coffee cup ones. She loves them all. She does dishes in the bathroom sink of her dorm room and they all clean up easily.
The ones we bought have a screw on lid and the straw is made of the same, sturdy material as the cup. I have dropped or knocked DD's off of the counter a few times onto ceramic tiled floors and they have not cracked at all.
Front side of DD's cup. the back and sides are polka dotted.

I found them recently at the Christian book store for 5 bucks but i was being cheap and didn't even wanna pay that much. lol. I happen to have a 5.00 extra care bucks from CVS and found them for 5.99. I didn't figure I'd find one cheaper so I grabbed it. Mine is 16oz but i've seen 24oz ones. Here are two pics of mine.

My mom has one, she seems to like it quite a bit. Normal water bottles are fine for me.

I have a stainless steel cuisinart thermal bottle holder that I purchased on clearance at Kohl's. Pretty much the same principle. Really enjoy the fact that I can put cold or hot beverages in it and not hurt my hands. Plus the lid slides shut so I can put it in my knapsack and go. Saves alot of money on beverages when you are on the go.
The only time I get bottled water now is when someone gives me one or there is no other water source around. Know I have saved lots of money from not buying water bottles and using the Brita filter.
Hope you get lots of use out of your new cup.

i had a stainless steel bottle but it didnt hold the cold as well as the plastic dble wall -
we hand wash them
the straws are hard plastic and have a ridge around bottom so it cant fall out of the cup
