Default Need some help please: gift to Puppy-Sitter

A good friend of mine has offered to puppy-sit my puppy (10 lbs), for 5 days, she will not accept cash payment. She is working outside of home & has 2 small dogs also.
I'm planning to cook something for her & her family (hubby & 1 young kid). I'm thinking: a roasted chicken, roasted leg of lamb & a loaf of banana bread.
Please give me some more ideas/tips.
    Thanks.

    5 days x $10 day = gift equal to $50

    What about a PetSmart giftcard?

Dinner as you suggested & giftcard to the movies? aka: dinner & a movie

We 'payed' my BIL for auto repair work (labor only) by taking him & SIL out to dinner.

They seemed happy with it, as they wouldn't accept cash -

All of the suggestions sound great, just tailor a gift to their preferences. You are so nice!

I dog sit for CLOSE friends and family (several), and I don't like taking cash or charging them either. BUT, I REALLY appreciate it when they give me a Petsmart giftcard for caring for their pets. I don't even care if it's for a really small amount, much less than they'd pay to board the pet. It's just very thoughtful. It's not something I expect every time either. If it's a rough time, just a thank you is great, too. A baked goodie would be delightful, as well, or even some inexpensive carnations to brighten my table. Glad you have a good pet sitter. I RARELY go anywhere because there is no one I really trust with my dogs and parrots. A good sitter is a treasure!

(One of my many) My SIL gave me one of the greatest thank you gifts ever for petsitting - it was a book full of Sting's lyrics - I love it, and it was something that I wouldn't have purchased for myself!

I'm like you Owl, I always tend to be the sitter of the group. (which is fine with me, I really don't mind)

Thank you for the ideas, really very helpful.
This is the first time I asked a friend to puppy-sit, we usually sent our fur babies to kennel. But this puppy got so sick last time, that my friend offered to take care of the little one for me, (the big one will go to kennel).

In additional to some home-cook food, I shall get gift-card(s) for her.

When my friend watched my older dog for me...I gave her a gas GC since she had to drive across town to do it.

Vanilla, the cooked meal and gift card sound perfect and will be greatly appreciated.
