Talking Must of had an angel on my shoulder

I drove from home to the work to pick up my son from work, it is just after midnight, we just came thru the Wheeling Tunnels, the speed limit on I-70 is 45 mph when we saw headlights and police lights behind us, I thought nothing of it. Ds said we are being pulled over, I am going the speed limit, the semis are doing 55 to 60 mph. I pull over it is a cop on the new spider trike, telling me that I have a head light out. I have no registration, proof of insurance, etc because it is technically not my car. I give him my license and he asked if I was drinking, I said no. I just woke up from sleep before picking up dear son. He gave us a warning said to get headligt fixed. We continued on to the Grove with high beams on.

I cannot get the headlight fixed to Friday. Thank the lord that I got a raise, .50 cents, first raise in 3 years. Woo Hooo.

    Good night

I guess I don't understand whose car it is you are driving.

Driving with high beam lights on constantly, is a ticket ready to happen. They need to be dimmed for traffic coming at you.

We keep our registration/ proof of insurance, paperwork for our vehicles in the glove box. Titles are kept in the house.

    Very nice on your raise

It is my daughter's and she did not put any of the registration , insurance paperwork, but she is a car dealer she has it, just not with the car. I am buying it, when paid in full I will have the paperwork, insurance and registration put in my name.

I know, but after bill I will not have money till friday. I will then run to the corner store and get a new headlight. My brights aren't that bright.

You should always carry your license and a copy of your insurance no matter what car you are driving. Proof of registration is usually on the license plate or the car window. License and insurance are on YOU, not the car, not the owner of the car.

Not trying to be a stickler here are you sure the corner store is the best place to pick up your headlight? Don't want you blowing your raise all at once. (unless that the closest place to get it?)

I have had the experience of driving around dusk and wondering why it is so dark out with the lights on. Only to find out that my headlights are out. Took a while to figure out why people were flashing me. I did end up driving home with the headlights on. Next day went to a car shop and had it fixed.

Hope you are able to get this taken care of soon. Stay safe.

Here, it's a $500 fine if you don't have proof of insurance when you're stopped and asked for it, or if you can't produce it at the scene of an accident. Our insurance is on the car, not on the driver.

I should have checked, but I follow the speed limit, etc. My daughter probably took it out when we were having a rash of car break in where they were stealing vehicle registration and insurance paperwork and title that people were stupid enough to leave in the vehicle.
