Daisygirl don't be too hard on yourself. There are many of us here who have done the same type of thing ( raises hand!) We can't have iron control all the time.

As far as taking a trip while in debt and over spending a bit~ LIFE is short hon ~ ENJOY it because you and your girls deserve it! Make those memories with your girls! You have recovered from far worse. This is just a blip in your life and financial map.

I really appreciate the encouragement. I tend to beat myself up when I spend money "frivolously". I can see that you all have recognized that.

Libby - because this is not an accredited college or university none of those types of aid apply. Apparently they give only one partial scholarship per year (which you can darn sure bet we will try for!). Any financing would have to come through a bank and the bansk would all scoff at me, considering my current "near-bankruptcy" status. Stranger things have happened than us finding the money for something like this. The good thing is, if we are able to pay for it there would be no debt involved, which is the way I prefer to do things.

    Thanks again, all!

Unfortunately, with risings costs, it can be hard to estimate stuff. There are so many positives in this post though! You have to look at the bright side. You paid off stuff before you left, no CC use, paid for cash, etc. The memories you made are worth the temporary stress now. You just have to make it through a couple of more days.
