    Default Would this make sense?

    To buy land and a big mobile home and then save to build our dream home while paying the rest off and eventually use the mobile home as a guest house or a place for my parents to live if they want when they get older...


    I've been told that a mobile home is just too dangerous because of tornadoes..

    I think it depends on what part of the country you live in. We live in California, so it would be safe, but if you get a lot of tornadoes I guess it might not be.

    I've lived in a mobile home for 11 years and I'm still here

    The most damage we've had done is having to replace some shingles on the roof, but the closest a tornado has come to us is about 5 miles.

    I'm still living in my mobile home after 21 years and plan stay here. Mobile Home was built in 1965.
