    Default I want my "blankie"

I love blankets. They are my comforting object. Putting a blanket on me literally calms me, it relaxes me.

I so want cooler weather so blankets can be used. I long for the feel of snuggling down under a blanket.

Also with everything in life. (Very tight budget some times in the hole, price of food rising just when the children hit a growth spurt teen and pre teen years, yucky dangerous weather and the aftermath of the storms, along with other trials in life) I am longing for the emotional comfort of a blanket, any blanket will do it doesn't have to be a particular blanket just as long as it doesn't itch me.

    I so want my "blankie"

Anyone else find they love being under a blanket? Anyone having a hard time waiting for cooler blanket weather? Anyone else find calming emotional comfort from a blanket?

    Anyone else want their blankie?

I love a blanket on me, so comforting and safe feeling. Cool weather, warm blanket, makes life so nice.

Emotionally, yes, I could use a blankie right now.

Nothing better on a quiet evening than a warm blankie and a cup of Sleepytime Tea for me. I'm afraid I have way too many blankies-- every time I see a sweet afghan at the thrift store, that I know some soul spent hours on-- home it comes with me

So glad to find others like me. DH thinks I'm nuts to always want a blankie. He will turn the heat up in winter if I wrap up the blanket.I tell him that I'm just fine,it will be too stuffy with the heat turned any higher. He's like---------Why are you all wrapped up?Heat is cheaper than the Dr.
He doesn't understand and most likely never will.

Yes! Living so far from "home" is tough and while summer in Northern Europe isn't much of a summer and I've had plenty of "blankie" use this summer, I long for cosy nights with a fire and some hot tea or soup, and yes, the ivory, double thick blankie my sister crocheted for me 11 years ago.

    We are kindred spirits.

I still have a bed blanket that my mom made me when I was 4 years old, I had a double bed back then so Hubby and I still use the blanket on our bed. Anyway, She let me pick out the material back then and a neighbor helped her tie it while I watched so I could learn. Ah memories.

She also made me a log cabin quilt as a surprise one year for Christmas (I was thirteen). She always worked on it while I was away or after I had gone to bed so that she could keep the surprise.

I love blankets and if I'm on the couch I'm sure to have a blanket. I have many in all different weights so that no matter how warm it is outside I can snuggle.

Me too! I always keep several blankets around. Even in the middle of summer I just like them for comfort, and they are so cozy warm in winter.

I don't sit or lay anywhere without blankies. Actually I am under one right now with a cup of tea and FV!
