Default I do not like early morning

phone calls with "mom don't be worried but I'm in ER" Right not gonna happen.... of course I'm going to worry. What do they think mothers do best. My son is in ER he has a really bad flair-up with the gallbladder. I have the baby. He left the 2 older ones at home so they can go to school. Chris has water polo practice before school and his brother goes with him. Sure is a terrible way to get woken up.

not the greatest wake up call, but certainly it is a relief to know that he is okay and is getting treatment for the gb problems.

    Hugs to you.

I hate those early morning phone calls as well. They are never good. If my phone rings before 10am my stomach does a little flip flop. It seems every early morning phone call I've gotten has been for someone having passed away.

My kids aren't even grown and out of the house yet...I can't imagine how much worse it's going to be once they are out! May end up with lots of gray hair before I'm 40!

Hugs Fern....hopefully they can get his gallbladder issue under control!

Early morning seems to be THE time for a gallbladder attack. I had mine out finally, last month. If he's not getting his out right off, look into apple cider vinegar for him to help. It stopped two attacks in their tracks with me. Within half an hour or so. Wish I'd known it before that first attack, I ended up in the ER in the early am, too. Has he had a HIDA scan yet? I hope he gets it taken care off soon! I'm sorry to hear you had to get the call in the early morning, he's lucky to have you taking such good care of his baby. Hugs and hope you get a nap today.

My doc told me after my first attack it was a matter of time before I would end up having emergency surgery if I didn't get it taken care of. I had them yank it a week later. They did lap surgery and the recovery wasn't too bad.

I hope your son can get his taken care of real soon. I thought I was going to die the night I had my attack. Not a fun experience, and I can't imagine willingly going through it repeatedly.

I had some chronic gall bladder issues that were bothering me, not too bad but the doctor said let's take it out. The very next week after that surgery, I ended up back in the hospital with a blocked kidney from a 12 mm kidney stone that had become lodged in the exit of the kidney. They couldn't do lithotripsy because of the recent gall bladder surgery so they went in with a laser.

Turns out that kidney stone pain and gall bladder pain (and ovarian cyst pain - I have since come to find out but he doesn't have to worry about :-)) can all mimic each other. If I had investigated the kidney stone first, then I might still have my gall bladder. They did say my gall bladder was "starting" to show signs of problems but it could have taken years to really be a problem.

I hope they have it diagnosed properly.

Well they sent him home with more pain pills...... They did schedule surgery for the 20th then they called up and changed it to the 27. Everyday he misses work makes it hard to make ends meet. I'm a worry wart.

I hope your son will feel better soon. It is definately scaring getting early morning and/or late evening calls. I know that I get very knotted up with my in laws number pops up on our caller id, when it is a time that is not in their nature to be making phone calls.
