It's the second week of school and my oldest is already sick
That didn't take long at all
. I hate that he's miserable. I hate how he already has to miss and I hate how expensive it gets when the cooties start spreading in the house.

do you give him multivitamins or vitamin c ?
i know you are supposed to get enough vitamins if one eats right
but i dont 100% believe that myself - not anymore with the extra running and stress people and kids have on them and people sending kids to school early in illness and too soon afterwards because they fear loosing their jobs
my kids get a MVI and in the winter or when theres a bug going around an extra dose of vitamin C
they are rarely sick -and when they are a virus that knocks the rest of the school out for a week has them out 2 days one of which is the 24hr fever free day .
i have felt better even with my fibro and easily getting taken down by a cold or virus - since i found a MVI i can take that wont bother my stomach
a 5$
--10$ investment in the vitamins each month is much cheaper then meds - dr appts and missed work days i one works*~Debbi~*

Yep, I dread all the germs! My kids have been sheltered and youngest ds was already vomiting by yesterday morning. I'm glad that y'all reminded me about the vitamin C. I've got to start passing it around. Dh needs to take it also 'cause as a teacher he brings home a lot of bugs too.
MOMTO5RN, what kind of multivitamin do you take? I don't ever take them 'cause the last ones I took made me nauseated...I don't remember what brand I had though.

My doctor told me it was the Iron in the multivitamin that makes me nauseas. She suggested I take it at night instead of in the morning and that has helped completely. You "sleep through" the nausea. I thought I would just wake up nauseated but, nope, I don't!

Yes, he takes a multivitamin. Sickness means money in this house. It always ends up being expensive between meds, possible doctor visits, extra cleaning supplies, sick food, etc
