    Default Party food?

It's dds birthday next weekend and her party is from 11-2, what are some ideas for food that won't break the bank. I was planning hot dogs, a pasta salad, chips, fruit tray, veggie tray, and then cake/ice cream. But there's going to be anywhere from 40-60 people there I'll know more this weekend when numbers are confirmed. Ideas please!

What about a big bowl of popcorn or pretzels? Also, could you get a watermelon to cut up? That always makes a lot of food. Or a pot of baked beans would feed a crowd. Have fun!

My dd will be turning 3, and that's if everyone shows up there's a few people invited then I know more then likely won't be coming. I expect it to be closer to 40 people.

Baked ziti. What you have planned sounds like more than enough. If people offer to bring something say yes that would be great and to bring whatever they would like.

I was wondering if your son's parents were invited to the party as well or it was going to be that many kids!

I second the idea of allowing others to bring something if offered but what about food for grown ups as well? Homemade pizza cut into squares vs traditional pie wedges. Veggies & homemade bean dip. Basic garden salad. Bruschetta. Asian noodle salad. Meatballs or wings? Deviled eggs?

You can buy a 4 pkg of can biscuts(the layered one you can pull apart) around 2.26-2.88 for the 4 cans. 10 biscuts in each can. you pull each biscut apart makes 20 for 1 can. 1 jar of pizza sauce you can get store brand or the ragu here is about 1.28 . 1 pkg of shed cheese. put about a tsp or 1 1/2 tsp sauce per biscut and sprinkle a little cheese and bake as directed on can biscuts. I made 40 of these the other night and they were gone quickly. TC
