Default I Wish That Summer Would Die Already!!!

Grr. Fall/Winter can't come soon enough. Where I'm at, we have had temps in the upper 90's for nearly 2 1/2 months...not to mention the humidity being at 100% most of the time.
This past week has been a welcomed change....the temps at night have been in the 60's....and even though the day temps are still in the 90's, the humidity has dropped by half of what it was....and it actually feels cooler in the day and you can tell that the seasons are about to change. Now, our weather forcast has us right back to the high 90's & humidity. Uhgg......I hate the summer here - wish it would just give up.

Sounds wonderful to me. Summer only arrived here two weeks ago and then left again last Tuesday.

It's hotter than blue blazes here too - I had to turn my air conditioner back on. I live in a second floor apartment and can personally affirm that heat does indeed rise.

OH (and I mean this in the best possible way of course) Shut UP won't you.
We have already had to turn the furnace on. I have washed the winter bedding and will put the electric blanket on the bed tonight. We has 2 38 degree nights followed by intense rain.
I am still wondering when I missed summer. WHAAAAAA! lol
I refuse to take my flip flops off and yes I am drawing stares w/ this LS sweater on!!

I was so close to turning the heat on yesterday, but just flat out refused to do it. This has been the most pathetic year ever.

I'm so over Summer! I want Autumn temps and changing leaves, fields full of pumpkins, apple cider, snuggling up to DH at night instead of being as far away from each other as possible.

    Bring It On!!!

Totally sympathize, Many Houseapes. it's been in the 100-110 degree range here for at least a couple of months. I feel for all those who already are having colder weather, but when it's been this hot (and it's just been announced that Texas has had the hottest summer on record for any state for any year in the U.S., beating the Dust Bowl years of Oklahoma.), you really do yearn for something even just a bit cooler. Couple our hot summer with the terrible drought we're having which, in turn, is feeding all the dang wildfires...well, you can imagine why we're complaining just a bit about it.

It has been nice for the past few days to wake up to temps in the 60s. Feels like fall (as much as we can ever claim a Fall) is in the air. Funny thing is, it was back to 102 degrees here today. The only difference is now we have a bigger temperature range in the highs and lows (high=102, low=69 as opposed to high=108, low=80.) Oh well, I guess we should just be thankful for small favors, lol.

We have had a VERY LONG hot, HUMID, summer as well. It has felt like heaven here this week with the cooler temps as well. I'm not looking foward to the return to the heat predicted either. I'm hoping for a nice LONG fall but am more expecting a short one with a hard winter based on how summer has been going.

It has been in the low 70's here during the day and cooler at night. Even though it isn't technically fall yet, the air has changed......it puts me in the mood to bake.

You should come live in Ireland. We get approximately one week of summer each year and, I can tell you, it isn't especially hot.

Also ready for fall here. Was hoping for a cool rainy Sunday so I could lounge around the house. Well, it's sunny and warm... So we went outside this afternoon, thinking we'll miss this in november!
