OMG Fried Chick Peas
Well, I finally decided to make some fried chick peas. Had seen it done awhile back on a cooking show and always thought it was something to try.
It definately helps with the junk food craving. Also a nice replacement for potato chips which I cannot eat because of allergies.
Here is the recipe is anyone is interested:

Anyone else make this or grew up eating them. Great to have another way to eat chick peas!

That sounds fabulous!
I open a can, drain, rinse and then coat with a little oil and seasoning then roast them in the oven till their crisp. Wonderful with Old Bay seasoning.

What a great idea. I've been looking for a snack to take to work, and since the recipe says they will keep....
I don't like cumin though, so I would probably use garlic and rosemary. That would make cardboard good.Donna

So made another batch this morning for breakfast. Within two days I have eaten two cans of chickpeas. Guess it is still frugal? lol Saw a recipe for fried little white beans, basically the same idea but using dried sage as an ingredient.

yum. i just made them with salt and white pepper. yum.
11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Yup, just made fried little white beans with sage, thyme, crushed garlic, salt & pepper. I am going to have to start buying mass amounts of bagged beans if I keep up with this habit. My canned bean stockpile is going quickly.
