    Talking Funny name branding (name recognition) story

    You know companies spend millions trying to brand their name into your minds.

    I have a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans the button has a capital G and and capital V imprinted on them, like this GV

    Every time I see the button I think Great Value you know Wal-mart's store brand.

    I've had that happen with the famous 'C' for Coach on fabric purses. I bought a Target version if you will but it had 'hearts' on the fabric in a similar style. I've been stopped while out asking which Coach store sold my purse or asked for the name of it so they could look it up online. The look on the womens faces when I tell them it was a $10 special from Target I've also been told its a 'bad knock off' as well. Ya know, it holds my stuff just fine and works great for me - Coach who?

    Lol@ at the jeans.

    Coach purses are ugly. Your "bad knockoff" probably looks better, plus you should have been charged extra for the privilege of not looking like a fool that will pay 500 for an ugly brown bag with a bunch of C's all over it.

    I am the complete other side of the spectrum from the Walmart brand. In my world GV stands for a Gulfstream Business Jet aircraft. Not budget by any means. LOL
