I agree. The prices are crazy. I saw butter for $5.29 a pound today. **thud** This wasn't any fancy organic butter... just regular old Tillamook butter. Yikes. Going to the grocery is getting depressing!

Peanut butter prices.....
What happened with this crop is....more of the farmers decided to plant cotton instead....more money for them.
So less peanuts for market....means higher prices.
A BIG dairy farmer ( 1800 cows/young stock ), we know is buying extra hay/corn NOW. Field crops are not in the needed volume this year as in years past ( poor weather conditions this growing season ). So the cost of feeding the cows is higher......so expect higher milk prices.--------My signature--------
The economy is now uncharted waters... grab a oar and start rowing. ~~
Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.

DaisyGirl: In addition to Peanuts comment about letting the milk sit in the fridge overnight, I used to put just a drop of vanilla in a gallon and that helped take the "powdered" taste out.
