Do you have a Roku?
I've just about got Dh hooked on the cancel Dishnetwork and use Hulu plus. However we need a way to stream it to the tv. Does anyone have the Roku? Pro's? Con's?

I did, three of them. The first two were awesome. They streamed Netflix wirelessly with no issues. Easy hookup, easy to use, and plenty of other channels if I got bored. I purchased one of the new ones because I wanted surround sound, but the new streams are too large for the Roku to keep up with the buffering, at least wirelessly. I'm not able to run an ethernet cable to the Roku location, so I had to return the newest box. I'm looking into other options to connect a new Roku to the outside world.
All in all, though, the Roku is an excellent and cheap way to get a multitude of streaming channels to your TV.

I have one too! Great for the most part...sometimes drops the signal and buffers forever. This is usually during peak watching time but despite that, I think it does the job fairly well considering it's relatively cheap. I don't like that mine doesn't start, stop, FF or rewinds. It's hard to find your spot again in the show if it drops the signal. Added bonus...I can also stream Amazon video as well as Playon TV and a host of cool and quirky stations. (watch outerspace through NASA anyone?) hahaha

Why doesn't yours start, stop, etc? All models I've had have done that.

We had a sony streaming player (before flood) and would buy one again. We didn't go with a roku because they wanted a credit card to set the thing up, "just in case you wanted to purchase programs in the future" No thanks.

Thanks for all the info! I was looking at the model we could use wired or wireless. I just thought it might be a cheaper option than streaming through an x box.

Earlier this year. They take paypal now too but it just gets my back up to be "forced" to give up such info or jump through hoops to opt out for a "maybe someday" purchase so I was happy to take my business elsewhere. Do I need to place a payment method on file to create an account? : Featured Questions~*Darlene*~

I've had a roku for years and love it! Simple setup, simple remote. I get Netflix streaming and Amazon prime movies and tv shows.
