Yes... was watching TV and they broke in with a special announcement. I think we all knew he was ill but didn't expect it so suddenly.

This was one of those that made me genuinely sad to hear. The kids and I have kinda become apple fan girls over the past few months. He was a fascinating character.

    Rest in peace, sir.

My husband read a blog post about a month ago, near when he stepped down from Apple, that speculated about why. They said he must have known there wasn't much time left because nothing other than knowing he was going to die soon would have made him leave the company.

    It is a sad day.

I'm surprised it happened so quickly after leaving Apple. Just for his sake, I had kind of hoped he would be around for a little while, enjoying life on the outside of the company.

He had a quiet dignity about him, didn't he? I admire that he worked up until almost the last. He was a brave and brilliant man. Sad to not have his familiar face present at new Apple product launches. I will think of him fondly, every time I use my Apple devices. They make my life so much better and easier.

Am sad about this. I'm an Apple cult member.

5 cool things Jobs left us that weren't gadgets - Entertainment - Celebrities - TODAY.com

I posted this on my Facebook, its from that article:
    5. A Meditation on Mortality; an Action Plan for Life: "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life," Jobs said in his 2005 Stanford commencement address. "Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition."

I still have a Macintosh Classic II. Yes, it still boots and has games on it. Sigh.

Yah, I suck at this money stuff, I know. That's why I'm here.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
