Fun Fact. Did you know Grace Slick of the Jefferson Airplane did the vocals for the numbers song?

I loved everything about Sesame Street, but I can remember being absolutely terrified when James Earl Jones did the alphabet. When he got to the letter 'I', he winks. Don't know why, but that scared the pants off me! I'd go running out of the room, and hide around the corner until he was done. My mom still laughs at me about that!

    Anytime Bob sang a song.
The Bees and the numbers song.
The Cookie Monster eating a crumbling cookie.
    People in your neighbourhood.
The Count singing a numbers song in that harmonic minor key.
    Bert liking plain tonic water.
Oscar the Grouch being grouchy, because I always felt if he just got a few hugs, he'd actually be a real softy inside.
Big Bird's long yellow leg stockings and splatty bird-feet.

    I did like the Count.

I liked the cat puppet in Mister Roger's Neighborhood. I can't remember its name. It just meowed everything and the humans would "translate."

When I was little I did not think the trolley went to make believe land everyday. I thought it was only on the show sometimes. my mom must have turned the tv off before then most days. I wonder if it was a timing issue like we had to leave to be somewhere or it was nap time or if she just did not like the make believe part

Didn't have TV at that age. We lived in a little valley that couldn't get any basic TV reception unless you lived in just the right spot. Some cousins lived in that sweet spot. They only got one channel. First show I remember ever seeing was at their place and it was the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. Still one of my favorites.

Things changed when satellites came in but by then we'd moved, were older and not into Sesame Street.

I loved and still love Grover. It totally cracks me up because he takes everything literally Like bringing someone a "sandwich" and its filled with sand LOL Those are very important concepts for children to learn because we all start out as literal thinkers and as we mature is when we understand the abstract.
