UpDate on Family in Need
You all were so encouraging to me as I wrote about a family in need after a house fire. I am glad to report that 3 churches pitched in to help this family. They now have mattresses on the floor and linens for the whole family, a couch and 2 chairs and a small table in the living room, a kitchen table and 6 chairs, some small kitchen appliances like a microwave, a crock pot, a coffee pot, dishes, silverware, mixing bowls, and other kitchen stuff. They have towels and washclothes, clothing. They have books and toys for the children. They are only lacking a dresser to put the clothes into. It was such a great feeling to be able to reach out, and others who helped echoed the same. I have some donated food to take them tomorrow. One church offered to take the children to Sunday School and the parents agreed. One man from another church just offered his friendship and a listening ear. So great that churches can band together and help out in the community.

Thank you so much for the update.
I have been wondering how they were doing. What a heartwarming response , and generous people from all the Churches, who not only donated wonderful things but gave this family hope.
I am so glad they were able to get some wonderful things to help them get on their feet. It sounds like they are making friends as well.*Angel*

I'm so glad to hear that the church community was able to bring such positive things to them. Being a part of that must be very rewarding.

Good news is always welcome. Glad they are getting help. The things they still need will probably come in time.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
