    Default patting self on back

I am the electric natzi , my power bill was 308 dollars last month. It has been cooler so off went the air and opened windows. No lights in the daytime. unplugged everything that could be air dried everything but towels, socks and work stuff. Went behind grandma and turned the tv's and light when she was not in the room. It was ta da 242 dollars. I am happy it was brutal hot here this summer. Now working on trying to keep the heat bill down this winter. It is gas. Wish me luck.

    Congrats! That's quite a reduction!

But wow, the electricity rate in your state must be high! Our bill is about $120 a month and there's 9 of us here which increases usage. What's your rate per kWh?

great job. I need to go back to reading the meter daily. Last months bill was $320.68 and I don't even want to see this months. DH has had relatives in the garage for the past 3 weeks almost non-stop working on sanding and painting a car so the air compressor and all garage lights have ran tons more than normal. I bet the next bills over $400 and that's with no air or heat going!

I need to look up my kilo watt and see how much per kilowatt. I am in Ky and we have 2 or 3 raises because of ice storms. AEP and I have no choice about it.
