    Question Favourite Hallowe'en Movies?

With Hallowe'en only a couple weeks away, a lot of the networks are airing Hallowe'en and horror movies. What are some of your favourites? Do you look forward to seeing them each year or are you waiting to catch ones you've never seen before?

One of my faves for Hallowe'en (not horror) is Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

BTW: I just saw that AMC is going to be playing horror movies from Oct 16-31st. I can't wait to see what they're showing!

I don't have a favorite because spooky movies are close to my least favorite, but my oldest daughter loves goosebumps movies. We rented three for her this week.

Not a Halloween movie specifically, but I love "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson! We're big horror movie fans here and have lots of faves. I like the Charlie Brown one too. Our faves go back to Dracula with Bela Lugosi to the current "Let The Right One In" (the original of that one is better though). Our youngest ds is the oddball...not really crazy about horror movies and will leave the room when they come on. He likes Abbott and Costello horror movies though...but they're funny instead of scary.

I have seen all the Halloween's, Friday 13ths, Nightmare on Elm Streets, and JUST got my bf hooked on the Halloween's. He had made all these assumptions about the movies in general and finally I asked, "um, have you actually WATCHED a halloween?" he confessed he hadn't. Now is hooked, hahahaha!!

My favorites each year for Halloween: any of the Halloween's, Great pumpkin Charlie Brown, The Halloween Tree, (a cartoon favorite of my daughter's as well) [ame="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0191173/"]The Halloween Tree (TV 1993) - IMDb@@AMEPARAM@@http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMjQ0Nzg1ODM4Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNDIyNjUyMQ@@._V1._SX75_SY140_.jpg@@AMEPARAM@@BMjQ0Nzg1ODM4Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNDIyNjUyMQ@@@@AMEPARAM@@SX75@@AMEPARAM@@SY140[/ame], Casper the movie, Beetlejuice

If you're in the mood for just a scary movie, I just finished watching Client 39 on Netflix and really liked it.

    These are great suggestions!

We're not big on doing the Hallowe'en thing this year - DH may want to sit outside and hand out candy for an hour before we turn out the lights and come back inside to watch movies. We're on a bit of a horror binge if you will

We watched Critters over the weekend!

Hocus Pocus.... Bette Midler with funny teeth I watch it every year. I also love to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride for the upcoming holiday. Oh, and Sleepy Hollow.... okay... anything Tim Burton will do me.

I love Halloween! My favorite scary movie is The Shining. Halloween 1 & 2 are a close second.

The Strangers is very good and I just watched Case 39 on Netflix, that was good too.

I love the The Great Pumpkin, The Halloweentown's, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I do not like scary movies, just too much for my sensibilities. But if I were to indulge in that genre I'd go for much less frightening, like

    [ame="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209163/"]The Mummy Returns (2001) - IMDb@@AMEPARAM@@http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTQzNjU4OTczMV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwOTI2MTMyMQ@@._V1._SX100_SY140_.jpg@@AMEPARAM@@BMTQzNjU4OTczMV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwOTI2MTMyMQ@@@@AMEPARAM@@SX100@@AMEPARAM@@SY140[/ame]

I'm ashamed to admit I find Brendan Fraser just, well Yummy.

    And this was fabulous

I forgot about The Others! That one is a good one! I can't do slasher and super gory unless there's humor like Zombie Land.

The Exorcist, Halloween (the original), Friday the 13th.
I always watch The Exorcist in the dark and it scares me every time. I don't know what it is about that movie.
I love all kinds of horror. Zombies and vampires are my least favorite. Although with the way everyone is talking about The Walking Dead, I may have to try it out - Netflix has it. I like movies with supposedly average people being evil. And my favorites are with creepy little kids. Evil children....now that's scary!!
