I pray for you every day, and send good thoughts

This is kind of random, but I want to tell you something. The post on the family who lost the newborn has me thinking about it.

My grandmother was a very religious woman, when she was 98 and hard of hearing, with bad knees and hands she spent much of the day saying rosaries, sometimes ten a day. She said their wasn't much she could still do but she could still pray, so she did.

One day, she asked me to come over and record her saying her rosary. She wanted me to write down all the people she prayed for, and when she died, she wanted to be sure my family and I continued to pray for the same people she always prayed for.

Her list was very interesting - until the day she died, she prayed daily in memory of the seven astronauts, President Kennedy and the entire Kennedy family, a woman that her mother worked with when my grandmother was very young, her name was May Keegan and she came hear from Ireland with her husband. He died very tragically and May went back to Ireland. She probably left the US in 1912 or so, but until 2002, she was prayed for daily by my grandmother. It was a varied and long list, when I wrote it down it filled three notebook pages.

Anyway, she prayed for so many people for so long, she couldn't even remember WHY she was praying for them, but my family and I still pray for those people every day. Since then, we have added names as things have come up, and it struck me that while I always say "I pray for all the Frugal Village families, for their bodies minds and spirits, may they stay strong and healthy." But, there have been times when people have asked for prayers, and I have given them - so long that they have become part of the process.

For His Glory asked for prayers for an ill family member so time ago, I still pray.
Debbie asked for prayers for her son, Tim, I still pray.
For Fernikins and her son Zack, I still pray.
    Niko, I still pray.
Becky's life had changed a great deal since her baby struggles, but I still pray for her.
QM, I can't even remember why, but I still pray!
Momof4, I've started praying for your sister.
Darlene, I've started praying for your family and your home.
For Nuisance, who had a baby about the same time I did, I still pray.
To the family who lost the newborn baby, I will always pray.

I could go on, you get the idea. It just struck me that this has just become part of my day, something that I don't think deeply about, but continue to do.

Many of you probably do the same, just wanted you all to know I think about you, and send good thoughts your way every day.

Your post was so beautiful, thoughtful, loving and kind. It made me cry. Thank you so much for sharing your love, prayers and thoughts .

I do the same and have a list of those I pray for everyday, think about and send blessings to as well. Many here are loved and covered in prayer daily.

Hugs, prayers and blessings to you and yours.

I absolutely love this post. How precious.

I tell people I will pray for them and I do. I believe that in the wealth of the friendships that I am so gifted with, that I have been the recipient of other's prayers too.

How proud you must be to tell this story of a woman who prayed in the best of ways.... for others.

I'm not a religious person but I know good thoughts and wishes and heartfelt caring can move mountains & mean bunches. I sincerely thank you for having my family on your wonderful list.
