Default Do you dress up for Halloween?

Last year I was *The Crazy Cat Lady* (every neighborhood has one....) It went over very well, and was super easy/cheap. I wore an old fuzzy bathrobe, fuzzy slippers, my hair it a beehive inspired doo, with a scarf. Got some vintage cat eye rhinstone glasses at the antique store (12.00) I pinned stuffed cats to me, and draped one around my neck. I used a Tidy Cat litter pail for treats....tootsie rolls!!

This year I am going to be Mary Poppins So far, it's coming together easily for about 20.00. I hit the thrift stores and got a long black velvet coat dress, that I will modify and shorten a bit. A blue skirt. Black hat, that I will glue silk daisies onto. A white high necked blouse, and a knitted scarf in all the right colors (found today for
.75) I will add a red ribbon neck bow, and black shoes and tights. I am using my great grandmother's old black umbrella. The only thing I need to get is the *carpet bag*....looking for a 80's era tapestry carry on bag....should be able to find one for a few dollars at the thrift.

I plan on going as a fashion don't. You know on the page of glamour magazine. Just need to put a really horrible outfit together. Have a blue and white stripped tight shirt, green cordouroy short sleeved blazer, pants, black knee highs and red shoes. Have a black mask that will be the black bar across my eyes. Only thing I had to purchase was the mask.

One year I had a 60's catwoman suit.I wore it with black go go boots. I had the big flip wig and wore the cat eye glasses.I wore it right up to the school for the Halloween parties. My children were mortified.

A few years ago our family all dressed as pirates. Our neighbors all got a kick out of that. Dh and I were supervising the kids trick-or-treating, not actively participating, but people kept insisting that we take candy too because we were dressed up. DH is working this Halloween and I have no plans on dressing up this year.

I don't. We live too far out to ever get any trick or treaters so Halloween is just another night for us.

Nah, we get all of maybe 10 kids, two of whom are probably really to old for traditional trick or treating but we've known them since they were very small and have no problem with them knocking on our door.

This year I dressed up as the neighborhood grouch.

In other words, I was dressed the way I always do.
