Northern Lights last night? (Oct 24)
Anyone else get a chance to see the Northern Lights last night (Monday)? I missed the most active part, inside watching a hockey game. A friend called me up and asked why I wasn't outside looking up. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. Managed to get a few pictures though. I'll get them up after work today.
Pretty intense solar storm last night, with the auroras visible in more than half of all US states, as far south as California and Arkansas.
More info, pictures, and one time lapse video here: SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids
Anyone happen to be outside away from the city lights, looking up, last night?

We couldn't see them due to cloud cover but our weather man mentioned that the "show" was seen as far south as Tennessee.

Thanks low-1.
And when you click on them so they are bigger pics, the way it lights up the trees is almost 'eerie'....very pretty!
Put a ghost in the background.....and there you go....... a good
Halloween pic!!!!
Can you put one in among the trees???
