So sad...
I haven't been on here for a couple weeks...it's been a whirlwind-nightmare. My mom passed away unexpectedly...massive heart attack. My parents were traveling in the lower 48 (they live here and I usually do quite a bit for them...we're close). Coordinating from Alaska has been hard... My dad didn't come straight home...and I really could have used his comfort and help with decisions. He just got back yesterday...he went to visit my brother in California instead.
Life is seeming pretty unfair and awful right now...softened only by the love and support from friends. Don't know what in the world I would have done without my Dh and my friends.
I'm in the middle of planning a memorial service that will be attended by over 200. I've established a memorial fund. I've fallen completely behind in school. At least 4 family members will be here from out of state in a week and I'm supposed to get things arranged for them, as well.
I'm so swamped...all I want to do is sit and cry. My dad isn't being terribly helpful. I'm having to ask him questions during commercials just to know how to handle mom's stuff (yes, massive sorting lays ahead of me, too).
I just needed to vent... Thanks for listening...Kace - married to Dh 12 years

Hugs to you. I am sorry for your loss.
Why can't the out of state family members coordinate things themselves? I sure wouldn't want to impose like that knowing all the planning and other stuff you're probably doing.

My heart goes out to you. I am SO sorry.
(((BIG HUGS)))
How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

So very sorry for your loss. And with it being unexpected is even more of a shock.

Having just gone through it myself........though not unexpected for two of the three people...........I can say...........
TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!
The most important thing is to get some DECENT sleep and make sure you are eating well. Both will help keep your strength up during this trying time!!!
