Right now it is only raining here. Went out for a walk all bundled up but shortened the walk since I was getting soaked. All I can say is YUCK!!!! They are predicting snow later on. What a mess!!!

We're finally losing leaves. I think they've all turned. Though some have a hint of green still. No snow here yet. But it's all around us. Weird. Normally we get it before a lot of other places around us...being on the open prairies.

I remember the first year I taught school, a sudden Blizzard popped up. No snow on the way to school by noon they cancelled school as the highway was being shut down. Had to drive two students home as we could not reach their parents. I had a hard time seeing their house from the road.

Then the radio informed everyone that Halloween had been officially canceled that year. No trick or treating as it was unsafe.

It's snowing here, and it's beautiful! They said to expect the power to go out. I'm not ready really. I need to fill up some water jugs for drinking. I do have the 5 gallon bucket filled for flushing the toilet. I guess I should cook a few things. Hmmm...Guess I should get the crockpot going.

Did I say it was beautiful?

That snow went through here Wed. morning and everything looks like a war zone. We have worked on our trees for 4 days now, broken limbs everywhere, its so sad after putting so much work into those fruit trees. If it hits you guys like it did here you are going to have alot of super heavy snow (we got alittle over 12 inches) and alot of tree damage. There's still places around Colorado that still dont have power yet. Stay safe.

    Good afternoon ladies,
I am brand new to the site and just wanted to jump in since I posted my intro already!
Snow is predicted here in Rhode Island for tonight anywhere from 3-6 inches!
I must confess I love snow and all the good things that go with it,feeling cozy inside, playing Christmas music, drinking hot chocolate, etc.
    God bless,
    Helen(grammea)
