No broken bones among my three boys (knock wood), but middle son had his chin sewn up twice before he was two and then once again when he was six. He was so brave when he was little that they didn't have to restrain him to sew him up. He didn't even cry!

Oh no! Hope he's okay. I have many days where I want to wrap one of my kids in a bubble.

Kids are supposed to hurt themselves, that's how they learn

31 and I've never had a cast, although I should have a couple of times. Lots of broken toes, quite a few stitches. My worst injury so far (and one of the times I should have had a cast) was from golfing in high school.

I was driving my friend's golf cart back to the shed to fill up a flat tire, and took the normal "shortcut" between two trees barely wide enough to fit a cart through. Filled up the tire and was heading back to the group on the third hole. Going as fast as the cart would go, I was heading through the trees and my foot was just over the edge of the cart. Twisted my leg right around and stopped the cart dead. I lived on Tylenol for a few days and kept running around like a dumb kid. After about 6 or 7 days of black/yellow/purple/blue and hobbling around, my Mom finally made me go to the hospital. They told me it was a pretty bad spiral fracture and it should have been casted, but it was too late by then.

Actually, come to think of it, I didn't really learn from that either... Oh well, boys will be boys. lol
