I do believe I have the same regret as peanut. *sigh* Would love nothing more to move into something newer with a floor plan that I actually like!

The rush job we did on it too....yeah. Too young and stupid when we bought this place.

I think ours was our house purchase too. We bought a single wide, and while the house is fine (I actually like it) we set it up on MIL's land (at her request). Seemed like such a good idea when we were young and stupid, but now, I would give about anything to get away from here. But moving it isn't an option. We could swing the fees to move and set it up somewhere else, but since we don't own any land, we would have to rent a lot, and that just isn't in the budget right now (lots rent for almost $200/ month here - it's crazy)

This computer - $450 and the screen broke within a few weeks of buying, but I'd already taken it out of the country so I couldn't do anything about it. The screen is still broken 2 years later.

And just being a spendthrift throughout my 20s. Trans-atlantic flights to go someplace for a week - that's a waste, if you're not going for at least a few months. Nice purses and shoes that I didn't need. Going out to eat with friends too often - could have cooked at home. Buying groceries always on the basis of nutrition (calories) instead of looking at price too. (I would pay twice as much for something that had 5 fewer calories, I am NOT kidding. NEVER looked at prices.)

I never had enough money to make the huge mistakes (car, house). DH bought a brand new car that we are still paying for years later - we love the car and that was his choice, before we met - but I wouldn't have done it.

I don't think I have one big ticket item I regret - just purchasing a lot of small knick knacky junky items. Instead of paying a bit more for better quality, buying something inferior now for instant gratification. And now I'm purging it all or trying to

My mother, bless her heart, did the same thing. Had charged the stuff on her credit card and then spent the next year struggling to pay it off. Luckily, she decided to gift her items that Christmas so it wasn't a total loss.
