wants and needs the differences
I guess I am in philosophlogcal thought pardon the spelling. Yesterday my daughter called to tell me her roof is leaking and her stepdad has been promising to fix it for months and procrastinated for months. She needs her roof fixed before more damage is done. ( he owes her $1000 dollars she said if he would work on her house as needed she would forget it I told her to take him to small claims court she is being the bigger person)
This morning everyone went off to church because it is the Thanksgiving dinner for church. SO hubby and Grandma went off to church with their best dishes so everyone could brag on them. Her roof is waiting on the rain to move in and he has to work on it in the rain.
Grandma took a fit yesterday over black walnuts for her cake there are 3lbs of pecans. 1 pound of english walnuts, and 1 pound of almonds here in the freezer.
I want a stupid bracelet for Christmas and I know I do not need it.
I need a sleep apnea machine have no insurance the first month will cost us $585 dollars every month after is 240 give or take. I am not complaining I won't get it is not in our budget. I won't die so I am ok.
Tonite I have decided to have bread and water for dinner to demonstrate the differences between wants and needs. I want fried chicken. I need substance for tomorrow. Tomorrow I will have what I want. Today I will have what I need and will be thankful for God has provided for me an abundance.

I would agree, your daughters needs are the most important right now, but unfortunatley, its no longer a need, but an emergency. I can't believe your husband has been procrastinating on fixing this. I could understand if it was being fixed because he just wanted to help, but since he promised to fix it because she loaned him $1000, that just makes me angry he hasnt fixed it yet....
If he hadnt borrowed the $1000, your daughter would have a fixed roof right now because she could have paid for it....
Sorry...just venting...
