We got 2 blue ray dvd players, 1 movie and some rubbermaid containers at Walmart last night. It was not nearly as bad as they show on TV. Our walmart is VERY organized. We weren't going to buy 1,000's of dollars of stuff.

I said I wasn't going out, but did - I went across the street to Joann's, and with sale and coupons, got 12 skeins of Red Heart yarn for 1.79 each, and 2 of Caron One Pound for 5.24 each, both very good prices.
It was busy - for Joann's - but Joann shoppers aren't the run-you-over-with-their-cart types. I was in and out quickly.Donna

The only place I went was the grocery store! Typically I will hit the drugstores- they are not as bad as other places- but this year I am/was not enticed by any of the deals for today (although I did hit the drugstores yesterday!). Today I am trying to find the motivation to decorate outside and in the house (while cleaning), which is very hard to do when it's almost 60 degrees and sunny outside (not that I am complaining about gorgeous weather!!).

Sorry hit Walmart last night to replace my microwave DD fried and a crock pot but left before 10. Some lady yelled at me for trying to get down an aisle. There was a wrap around for some tv deal. Its always been for fun for me but these people had an angry undertone. NO Thanks!

I went to Fred Meyer and got 200 pairs of socks @ 1/2 price. We do every year, to donate to our local mission. That's it. They opened at 5:00 and I went about 9:00....no problems, nice people and it's 5 minutes from my house.

My college age daughter went shopping at midnight for winter clothes and we went out together this morning for clothes and boots. We bought quite a bit for ourselves, but they were warm things that were needed all at more than 50% off.

I did the walmart thing at 10pm.......it was INSANE! I've always gone when they started the deals at 5am, no parking problems, no people, just average shopping. Last night I kept thinking if there was a fire we would have all been toast!
I picked up a couple of games for dgs, bath mats and picture frames for 2 of my dd's and a couple of dvds, I may have saved about $30, not sure if it was worth itTerry

Lots of deals at the Harley dealership today! No major crowds, lines, or traffic. They had free breakfast AND lunch. We did our pre-shopping today. That is to say we looked around. Our sponsoring HD for our H.O.G. chapter will have a private sale for us on Dec 3. Special prices, items marked down and triple rewards points for our purchases.

Went to watch the craziness
last night while my friend shopped. Watching women fight over cheaply made boots at Macys was pretty entertaining. Stood in line for 30 minutes in Target that was wrapped around the store only to get to the front and some sneaky person tried to cut in front of us! The nerve!! Buying the Old Navy Groupon was my best deal today.

I went to JC Penneys and Kohl's today about 11am, got 3 shirts and a pair of Dearfoam slippers for DH for xmas - they actually had his size in the slippers - DH is tall and I can find things that fit him at Penneys, and a set of flannel sheets for me. At Kohl's I got myself a pair of pj's and for DH two travel mugs for coffee. No doorbusters but I think I made out alright pricewise. It was pretty busy but not crazy. I was in line to check out less than 5 min. at Penneys and 15 min. at Kohl's.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

My husband and I went to Walmart about 7am.Everyone was already gone practically. It worked out good because thier movies were still on sale. We got 2 movies for my 4yr old boy for 1.98 each! My husband saw one of those movies for $24 a few months ago! Then I got two $5 movies for my 6yr old daughter. Then my 17yr old stepdaughter loves the show "Bones" she wants to go to school to be a forensic anthropologist. They had seasons 1,2,3 for $10 each. You would spend about $30 on one season! My husband also got some movies for himself and I got one I wanted also.
That was all we got but it was worth it. I was especially happy to find something that my stepdaughter will like and it was cheap because I always feel bad that because she is a teen and her stuff is so much more expensive her little brother and sister get so much more than her at Christmas. But the things she wants might be $50 each and I could get the little kids 4 things for that! KWIM? She is always understanding of it. But I still dont like it.Me: Heather

I didn't go out to any. I've been down with a stomach virus. My kiddos went last night to the Walmart and someone had called in a bomb threat so the parking lot was full of upset shoppers along with ambulance and police and a bomb sniffing dog. They just turned around and came home.
I've done about all my shopping online this year. Kohl's has a good deal on bras right now if anyone needs any. They were marked $14.99 and that included Playtex, Bali and more. I had a 15% off code and got them for $12.74 each. I got me a couple and my daughter 1. Got my dad a tie to go with a shirt I had already bought him and my sis an apron. With every $50.00 order you get free shipping and $15.00 in Kohl's cash.Wife of Danny for 28 years...the love of my life and my best friend..
